CONTINUING EDUCATION
I regularly take teleclasses from the Animal Spirit Healing and Education Network,
flower essence workshops, seminars in animal nutrition and anything that comes my way that I
think contributes to understanding more about my clients, both animal and human. I have spent several
years studying and practicing transformational energy healing for both animals and humans.
SERVICE
I am very active as a volunteer, and I am a member of organizations that are making a difference for the
betterment of all beings.
- Downers Grove Humane Society, Chicago, IL (1997 - 2000). Fostered special needs dogs with
behavioral or medical issues. Trained to be an adoption counselor.
- SPCA of Westchester (2002 - 2008). Having come in on the
ground floor of our volunteer program, I helped to develop many programs and procedures
used there including the foster program, intake and adoption forms, follow-up calls on all
the animals adopted, and the Train-To-Adopt program for volunteers working with the dogs.
In order to help develop the program at the SPCA, I have attended
numerous workshops and seminars from some of the highest regarded canine experts in the field.
- Therapy team (2003 to present). My two dogs are certified by both TDI and Delta.
We go to schools and libraries to help children who have reading issues regain their confidence.
We also visit a church with the Headstart Program and help 3- and 4-year old Hispanic and African-American
children learn that dogs really can be wonderful friends and that they don’t have to be afraid of them.
- Member of ACCAW (Animal Communicators Coalition for Animal Welfare)
- Moderator for Georgina Cyr’s “Animal Communication Forum” (2006 - 2008)
- Shelburne Farms, Shelburne, VT - Draft Horse program (2008 - present). Started a draft horse
program at the Farm that promotes education and contributes to farm production and
maintenance activities. Currently, we have two teams of English Shires working on an
average of four days per week.
ETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY
I follow the Interspecies Communicator Code of Ethics developed by Penelope Smith. I am very careful to
refer all my clients to a licensed veterinarian for any physical pain or issues that may become apparent
during a reading. Most of my clients come from referrals from previous clients, veterinarians and other
health care practitioners and other animal communicators. I enjoy working with a diverse network of
professional and talented people.
